EMO’s base Eemshaven offers logistics facilities on 3.5 hectares in Beatrixhaven Ideal conditions for service and maintenance in the operations phase of offshore projects. Ships up to a draught of about 4 m can find suitable berths on the 150 m long pontoon feeder. A pier for handling larger seagoing vessels is already in the planning stage.
The base is located in immediate proximity to the heliport and the public railway for passenger transportation and is thus a perfect hub for material and personnel on the way to and from the offshore wind parks. The deep sea port of Eemshaven now has a water depth of 11 metres. In the near future this will be increased to 14 metres. The port comprises a total of four harbour basins and is connected with the inland waterways network via the Ems Canal.

Ems Maritime Offshore operates its own heliport in Eemshaven. The operation further strengthens the position of the Eemshaven site in the offshore wind sector. The helicopters handled there can be used for the maintenance of wind turbines on the high seas, ambulance and trauma flights, and for the relocation of pilots.
The DronePort offers drone flights for the transport of goods, emergency support, surveillance, and inspections, among other things. Built according to an independent, open model, it offers space for start-ups and scale-ups that focus on applicable unmanned technologies.
