Ems Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) is a fully-owned subsidiary of the shipping company Aktien-Gesellschaft "EMS", and was established in 2010.
We operate our own fleet of modern service vessels under the German flag, which are adapted for use in the offshore wind farms of the North and Baltic Seas.
In addition to the activities of a certified shipping company that focuses on the special requirements of offshore wind farms, we also provide extensive port services in various service ports near the wind farm clusters.
This includes the provision of office, warehouse and external storage capacity as well as parking spaces and berths for service ships. In the Netherlands, we operate the Eemshaven heliport.
Our extensive service portfolio is rounded off by maritime coordination, which includes the management of all logistical processes and maritime sea area observation by our in-house control center VENTUSmarine. EMO currently employs around 90 people at various locations.
The parent company of EMO operates the shipping line service from Emden and Eemshaven (Borkumlijn) to the North Sea island of Borkum. The AG "EMS" has several subsidiaries.
WINDEA Offshore GmbH & Co. KG is a joint venture for the offshore wind industry founded in 2011, consisting of the partners Bernhard Schulte Offshore GmbH, Buss Offshore Solutions GmbH & Co. KG and Ems Maritime Offshore GmbH.
The company of the AG "EMS" group, based at Emden airport, offers flights to the islands of Borkum and Heligoland. Charter and cargo flights are also included in the service program.
